2026 Audition Announcement
JOYEMOVEMENT is seeking dancers and/or teaching artists with exceptional ability, versed in a variety of styles, including but not limited to contemporary, jazz, ballet etc. for our 2026-2027 performance season. Rehearsals will begin September 2026 in Downtown Greensboro, NC.
Compensation:
Performers will be paid for all performances. Rehearsal stipends may be available on a project basis.
To apply:
Submit an online application with your headshot, resume, and 1-min or less dance solo. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 pm on Monday Aug 10th.
Invited callbacks will be in person on Wednesday, August 13th, from 6- 9 pm in Greensboro.

Founded in 2014 by Alexandra Joye Warren, JOYEMOVEMENT’s mission is to tell stories of the African Diaspora that inspire audience members and participants to reexamine embedded societal ideas.

Through choreographic storytelling, we ignite reconsideration and propose alternative understandings. We explore the future grounded in historical context and artistic activism. The company's repertoire includes work that involves emotion,flow, and an intimate connection between the artists at work and the audience. We challenge and inspire thoughtfulness. We are passionate about creating a dialogue that has the opportunity to spill off stage and into the community.
